I am loved!

Day 25 of 40 Days to Passover and Resurrection Weekend

Remind yourself every day that you are greatly loved. Also remind someone else.

Do you ever think about how much God loves you, I mean really, really loves you?  Sometimes we question it, don’t we, when things get complicated, when we are disappointed by some event, when life takes a dark turn, when grief knocks at our doors?

The world questions it when disaster strikes.  “Where is God?”  they say and “How could a loving God let this happen?”

If we look closer, God’s love is in the fact that we still breathe in and breathe out.  He has given us life and every single iota of our being.  There are gifts from His hand every second of every day.  Perhaps we just take them for granted and forget who is the Giver of every good and perfect gift.

His greatest gift is His love to a fallen world of humans who are unloving, mean, hateful, self-centered, puffed with pride, rebellious against God’s laws, and idolaters of any and everything.

Yet, He loved us.  He loves us.

If you need some assurance, look to God’s love letter to the world.

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. ( Jeremiah 31:3)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  (John 3:16)

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  (Romans 5:8)

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.  (Ephesians 2:4, 5)

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1)

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (Romans 8:38, 39 )

Don’t you ever forget it – you are loved!  And nothing, no nothing, will ever change that fact.  He spread wide His arms and welcomed you into His heart on Calvary just to prove it.

How deep the Father's Love for us
