The Lord’s Day – December 5

Sunday  – Rise and shine for this is the day the Lord has made.

Band practice – I go to church early and practice with the band for “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Eve.”  Love the song.  Love the band.

Sanctuary – I enter in as the worship team and choir invite me to join their  songs of praise.

The Hallway – I see familiar faces.  I hug, wave, smile.  All of it is returned to me.  I hear prayer requests I will remember.  This is family.  We share the joys and the heartaches.

Sunday school – I have always loved Sunday school since I was a little tot.  I’ve learned so many lessons here.  Bruce, our teacher, asks questions that make me think.

Home –  Sweet William and I prepare a simple lunch, rest, relax, watch a funny movie,  and nap on the couch.  This is my day to refresh.

Back to church –  The PraiseMakerZ present their Christmas musical/play.  Brittney and her helpers have done a great job working with these rambunctious, precious children.  They are well prepared as they sing and tell the story of Jesus.  The scene with poodle skirts, leather jackets, and white t-shirts is my favorite.

Home again – It is warm and safe, filled with the stuff of my life.

Christmas Time – Joy to the world, the Lord has come!  He has come into my heart, my home, my life.   I love Sundays!
